I definitely read that book during my Summer of Stine, the summer between my fifth and sixth grade year where I read literally EVERY SINGLE R.L. Stein book. It was an epic summer. I know what you mean about going back and thinking 'what was I thinking, I can't believe this book entertained/scared/intrigued me' but it's always cool to see where you've come from as a reader.
