Incredible the sort of people the public admire!

@ Alyce: I had heard of Jesse James before I saw the movie but I didn't really know anything about him, the book & movie certainly opened my eyes!

@ Lesa: Thanks for your kind offer, I will let you know if I am ever in your neck of the woods! I've never read the book but hated the film, in fact I didn't even make it to the end whichg is unusual for me. I could argue that perhaps it was more of a man's film but the 3 men who watched it with me didn't like it either.Felicity Grace Terryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17852843882007267665noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3694427406934260419.post-34894925567241658362010-05-18T06:38:57.667+01:002010-05-18T06:38:57.667+01:00Jesse sounds like the original Grinch-- what a jer...Jesse sounds like the original Grinch-- what a jerk stealing presents and the tree!

Btw, I live smackdab in the middle of Outlaw Territory. Younger Bend-- on the S.Canadian River is just a few miles north of my house. Robbers Cave where the gang used to hide from the law is a few miles south of my house. It isn't inconceivable that the James Gang rode right across my property. Was the female outlaw Belle Star mentioned in the book? I've hiked to her grave out in the middle of the woods. If you are ever headed this way, email me and I'll give you the tour-- it is fun climbing the rocks at Robbers Cave.

:o)Lesahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05102907186589066829noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3694427406934260419.post-30656373069431652572010-05-18T01:44:24.001+01:002010-05-18T01:44:24.001+01:00I haven't seen the movie or read the book, but...I haven't seen the movie or read the book, but they both sound very good.
